Is Sasha Grey the future of porn

How Sasha Grey feels about the industry?

Jenna’s melted down, Danni excited so gracefully no-one noticed, Tera’s more diva than hipster and so Sasha Grey is fast becoming porns new leading lady.

Not too pretty to be frightening, un-enhanced breasts for extra-cred and a decade younger than Joanna Angel. She’s popular with erotica snobs, more quotable than people who don’t pretend to have read the books she pretends she has, and she flips the bird with her tits out.

I remain unconvinced. Does she own anything? Is she making real money (i.e. website money, $100K a month or more), is she being exploited by people who like to exploit models who think they’re too smart to be exploited?

Sasha? Anyone?

For what it’s worth, I believe Sasha (Ms. Grey, if you’re nasty) is the real deal, i.e. not being exploited by anyone but herself. At least, that’s what I’d like to believe, so I’m going to stick with that. In my opinion, she’s freakin’ awesome… although a bit on the extreme side for my carnal needs - I wouldn’t do her, but I’d definitely hang out with her. Physically, she’s damn-near perfect, and that sexy aloof smile of hers is the most dangerous part about her (again, physically) - she’d have me wrapped around that middle finger with just a look.

Fix that typo, unless Danni really is gracefully excited that no one noticed (which still makes no sense, haha).

This is one of those areas where it’s easy to fall in love with the idea of something. My wife spotted her one day and remarked that her look is closer to high fashion than porn, and she’s a walking testament to the notion that you can play (superficially, at least) to the intellect of the porn audience and get some traction.

But I have no clue how much of “Sasha Grey” is actually in there. I mean, her standard facial expression (see example above) can convey an aloof thoughtfulness, but it could just as easily be boredom.

It’s kind of a tough spot, really. By trying to appeal on a level beyond the physical, she opens herself up to more critical analysis that most porn chicks face. It reminds me of what female videogame and sports journalists go through… do you *really* like Grand Theft Auto/football, or are you just a pretty face reading from a teleprompter?

Which actually makes me feel bad for questioning Sasha, since I hate it when a woman’s legitimacy is questioned in other contexts. Damn you, Mr. Sugar, for urging me toward this moral dilemma!

I’ve wondered myself if it was all an act, but after watching Belladonna have her way with young Sasha in “Fetish Fanatic 4″ I’d say she is the real deal. Nobody in porn can act that well.

Roger - I clearly see where you’d get the idea that her look might be one of “boredom.” To me, she just seems… above it all. Too cool for the room. It’s also quite sexy.

I don’t know… there’s just something about her that really appeals to me.

There’s so much artifice in this industry, I’m not sure I even care about any questions in regards to her legitimacy. The fact that she’s articulate and has a good sense of humor (check The Roots’ “Birthday Girl” vid) gets me all hot and bothered.
That, in addition to her good looks and “head game”.
