Not sexy. Apparently.

The ‘Copyranter‘ today posted that American Apparel appear to be out of ‘racy’ ideas in their new ad. I presume he has little understanding of the fetish world and doesn’t realize how many people think nylons over buns are as hot to look at as they are to jog in.

Copyranter must be run by a group of sexless grannies. That ad is definitely “racy”. I can’t stop looking at it.

    Winter - Advertising mission accomplished.

American Apparel has been widely hated and boycotted by leftists for having “sexist” and “pornographic” and “objectifying” ads, the viewing of which, of course, make make people rape children, beat their wives, etc. From the way most leftists talk about such things, you’d think that they had, you know… *any shred of evidence whatsoever* that exposure to erotic imagery or nudity turns people into violent sex offenders.

Anyhow, I’ll never understand that sort of lopsided thinking, but I sure do love me some legs and and ass in nylons. Racy indeed.

Furry - “Leftists” sounds a little Fox News but I’m with you. There are left wing elements who are as anti-sex as the far right. Different reasons, same anti-porn, anti-sex for fun, anti-personal-choice result.

You know me, baby, I’m a Fox News fan all the way.

But seriously, many leftists are so insidious in their attacks on freedom of sexual expression- they *always* frame everything in terms of “protecting women” and use all manner of political rhetoric to try and disguise what they and the right wingers have in common: a fierce desire to squash female sexual autonomy. While I’ve never had to walk past a group of Chomsky-thumping protesters on my way into a Planned Parenthood, I’ve seen far more hateful attacks on sex workers and sexual women coming from the left. These days, it seems like the only place you can find real misgynists are in obscure corners of the internet and among “enlightened feminists”.

This comes from someone who’s been berated and stigmatized as a brainless whore/slut/fuckhole for over 10 years, and let me tell you, no one hates women like *women.*

One of these days, I’m going to have to write the great anti-”feminist” book that’s been brewing in my thoughts for so long.

Furry - I hear you. I just hate the term ‘leftist’. If it means, as it suggests, someone left-leaning - it’s too broad for me to be comfortable with. I’d favor something appropriately negative like ’sexual conservative’. If we use ‘left’ to label everyone left of centre we don’t agree with the term could suffer the same denigration as ‘liberal’.
