Anna Nicole Smith.

A lot of the coverage of Anna Nicole Smith’s death stinks of hypocrisy, damning her choices while exploiting her body in dishonest stories designed to justify pictorial T&A. Have you ever seen so many ‘Life in pictures’ pieces? Look at this woman, how tragic she is. Look some more. Yeah, look at those massive tragic tits. Pity that ass. It’s vomitous.

Many Playmates have Died Young‘ from AP takes a step down by trying to concoct some sort of ‘Curse of Playboy’ myth. Listing every woman who’s ever appeared in the magazine and died of unnatural causes and hoping we’ll assume this is somehow unusually high or has some greater significance. Perhaps they want to suggest divine retribution for the sin of being naked?

I’ll write more about Smith’s death if and when there’s anything useful to say. Thus far ‘Drug using former model accidentally OD’s while depressed’ is about it. I’m not sure if anything I’ve read has said much more.

I’m really tired of the exploitation of this tragic woman - she’s been the top story (or one of the top three) on the local news programs since she died (aside from Saturday, thanks to Britney)… and let’s not even mention (beyond this one upcoming) Entertainment Tonight and their blanket coverage of this woman, going back a couple of weeks before she died.

Chris - She’s now the celebrity she never was. Tragic really on all fronts. Just say no kids. Just say no.

Well, like the late great Biggie said: You’re nobody ’till somebody kills you… not that I’m intoning that she was killed. Nope, not at all.
