Speaking of iTunes…

The anti-sex purge at Apple continues.

A few weeks ago I was sent this link (thank you) which at the time was merely amusing, and now seems indicative of a concerted attempt to infantilize iTunes podcast offerings.

I hate this crap. Reminds me of the PMRC (Parents Music Research Council) who, during my youth, tried to stop kids like me from listening to Ice T. As iTunes becomes the most important digital media hub, their standards and practices will have an increasing effect on what we consume.

Apples obsession with secrecy is well known but particularly worrying when their writing rules for acceptability which they refuse to publicly discuss. In Steve Jobs universe what is fit for public consumption?

Before buying a Peaches CD I bought two songs off iTunes to see if I’d like her. Her Fatherfucker CD was listed as “Fatherf****r”.
