I’m Joining the FBI

The FBI is recruiting for a new porn-busting squad. Who's in?

I expect this to be the last post I make here at SugarBank. After reading this Washington Post article, it’s clear to me that my name must be at the top of the FBI’s list of potential recruits for their new porn-busters squad. I’m ready to say yes.

You might be wondering why I’m ready to accept a job offer from the feds, so I’ll offer faithful readers a more detailed explanation of my thought process.

  • We’ve won the war in Iraq and made it safe and peaceful, global warming is a myth and Hurricane Katrina’s being handled professionally and fairly by the authorities. Porn is about all there’s left for the FBI to do - they’re just not busy.
  • Pornography is bad. Think about it logically - sometimes people who are involved in pornography are hurt, exploited and abused. That doesn’t happen to people doing other jobs so, if we get rid of porn, we’ll get of abuse. Then, because people can’t watch porn, they’ll get married and go to church instead of raping strangers and having abortions.
  • Child pornography is over-hyped. Why spend so much money on trying to stop the exploitation and rape of minors (which is hard) while ignoring legally recorded depictions of consenting adults having sex? Some people don’t like porn and it’s every American’s right not to be upset. Just because porn’s not breaking any laws doesn’t mean the FBI shouldn’t be investigating it.
  • Jesus hates sex, and the government is supposed to make us do what Jesus wants, so the government must ban all sexually explicit material (accept old paintings) because it’s what God wants. To ignore that is to side with Satan.

Any questions? I’m expecting the phone to ring any minute now.

That’s about all the sarcasm I WANTED to put in my post on this subject yesterday, but didn’t. However, it might be really good to be an FBI agent… just imagine all the “sucking up” those porn stars are going to have to do to you… ;)
I really hate the fact that XXXChurch.com is selling t-shirts that say “Jesus loves porn stars”, because if the money didn’t go to a fundie organization against porn addiction, I would totally buy one! Damned fundies.

Damn them… damn them to hell!

You’re right about xxxchurch.com. It took me ages to work out that they are actually pro-religion and not a joke (as they appear to be). They’re beyond satire…

That shit is really disturbing to me. If this kind of thing continues, porn’s going to be every bit of underground as alcohol was during Prohibition. I’m not giving up my sizable collection for no stinkin’ Federales!

WTF? I’ve been seeing these news items and can’t help wondering where it came from. I thought being anti-porn was passe like a year ago, I mean Jenna Jameson is spotlighted on VH1 and Belladonna was interviewed by freakin’ Diane Sawyer. For I minute I wondered if porn had been accepted like some specialized cable network and all the fun would come out of it (there is a pun in there somewhere). But no. Porn still bad. Maybe even as bad as videogames!

Chris - as I said once before, I think the zealotry will backfire ultimately. It’s just too stupid to work. Then again prohibition passed…

Edco you’re right. It’s very generational too. I wonder what people 35 and under will think of a horrifying when we reach our fifties?

Well, considering what many of the “kids” are into now, I fear for our future. Honestly. Of course, maybe… just maybe… the US will actually catch up with the rest of the world with regards to certain social and cultural policies… but I doubt it, at least not in my lifetime.
